In nine consecutive hikes, petrol and diesel prices up by ₹5/litre and ₹4.87/litre

Petrol prices have been hiked by 48 paise per litre, and diesel prices by 23 paise per litre.

Rates have been increased across the country and vary from State to State depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT.
